Client : sends sequential Hello messages

Aug 23, 2011 13:04

We are using Polar SSL package integrated into our application for HTTPS support (server side)

Internet explorer 7 sometimes (on a certain HTML pages) sends 2 sequential "Client hello" messages. This causes some problems to our SW.
Is someone familiar with this issue? Why would it try to start session sfter session?

For IE8 I even saw 3 sequential Hello messages.

Thanks in advance

It's most definitely not just IE that sends multiple Client Hello messages.

I've seen the same from pretty much all the web browsers, where they can often send like 10 Client Hello messages before the first Application Data message is transmitted over the network.

Unfortunately I don't know enough about PolarSSL to help you in this regard.

For now - this issue is closed , I've got a reply from PolarSSL , that setting multiple connections (and sending Hello on each of it) its a normal client behavior
